Celebrating Valentine's Day with Li-lac Chocolates

Li-lac Chocolates

Reputed for its aphrodisiac qualities, chocolate has become a Valentine’s Day favorite. So, when Li-Lac Chocolates, the oldest chocolate house in the city (it was founded in 1923) sent me some samples, I was really excited. I discovered Li-Lac many years ago, during a walking food tour, and have been a fan since then. Why? Their chocolates, made with high quality ingredients, in small batches, using classic techniques that are very good. Even the simplest ones, that are dark or milk chocolate are well balanced, not too sweet, letting the taste of cocoa shine. For Valentine’s Day, Li-Lac is proposing a wide selection, from $3.95 for the rose, $9.50 for the heart and $32 for 10 pieces presented in a nice red chocolate box (it includes French Cream, Chocolate Fudge, Hazelnut Truffle, Maple Walnut Fudge, Marzipan, two Chocolate Mousse Rolls, and 2 red-foiled Chocolate Hearts). There is more of course on their website.
