Created last year by the founders of Unregular Pizza, Unregular Bakery is quite original: do not go there if you are looking for classics. The vessels for their sweet or savory offering are laminated croissants or bombolone, these Italian donuts and you kind of get overwhelmed with all these mouth watering items on their menu, with lots of vegan choices. I did not really liked the filling of the BurraCroissant, that is filled with burrata and basil pearls, missing the creaminess of this fantastic cheese, but the laminated croissant itself was superb. The bombolone are quite good, the Everything salmon, composed of smoked salmon, aperol pickled onion, capers, chives and cream cheese, being a great take on a classic. A much simpler choice was the bombolone with cacao e Pepe that we created from their build your own menu.
For dessert, we got their Death by chocolate bombolone, a vegan dessert made with a vegan chocolate bombolone, vegan chocolate and vegan brownies. Decadent, the best part was the brownies that were pretty good, crunchy on the outside and moist.
Overall, this was good and Unregular Bakery chose perfectly their name as none of their offering is classic. I would definitely go back to try other things there.
Enjoy (I did)!
